En un histórico y garrafal error cometido por Warren Beatty, terminó esta noche la 89 entrega anual de los premios Oscar de la Academia de Ciencias y Artes Cinematográficas (AMPAS, por sus siglas en inglés).
En la entrega del último premio de la noche, Beatty anunció que el galardón a mejor película correspondía a “La La Land”.
Sin embargo, en cuestión de segundos aceptó su error, y aclaró que el ganador al premio de la mejor película era “Moonlight”.
En el premio estelar de la noche, la confusión reinó en el escenario, al que ya había subido todo el elenco de “La La Land” para felicitarse y dar su discurso de aceptación, y fueron interrumpidos para aclarar que el ganador era “Moonlight”.
“Moonlight” derrotó en esta categoría a “La La Land”, “Manchester by the Sea”, “Arrival”, “Fences”, “Lion”, “Hell or High Water”, “Hidden Figures” y “Hacksaw Ridge”.
Así concluyó la entrega de premios a las mejores actuaciones y realizaciones de 2016 en la llamada Meca del Cine de la industria cinematográfica.
